Brief introduction to techniques The following is drafted based on The Treatise in the Praying Mantis School of Martial Arts, but it is by no means a translation. These brief descriptions are written based on knowledge passed onto us from Master Wong, yet they should be just taken as a reference. One should refer to the original (Chinese version) of The Treatise, coupled with experience gained through repeated practices, for a genuine understanding. Furthermore, we have standardised some of the technical terms in English, which is uploaded onto www.hfwong-mantis.com. Other than those terms compiled in the glossary there, the rest are just crude translations and should not be taken as standard.
